Who we are

This site is run by RIPPL Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 17429995), registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We're the controller of the personal data described here.

For anything about your data, email contact@ripplsurf.com.

What we collect, and why

When you join the waitlist

Your email address, the time you signed up, and, if a friend sent you, their referral code. We use it to tell you about early access, the tester programme and our launch. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by signing up and can withdraw at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us.

When you email us

Your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, so we can reply. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the surfers who get in touch.

When you browse the site

We use PostHog to understand how the site is used: which pages and sections are viewed, what's clicked, how far people scroll, and short recordings of how the page is used (anything typed into a form is hidden). It also records your device and browser type and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in making the site work well.

This analytics is cookieless: nothing is saved on your device, each visit is counted on its own, and it isn't linked to your name or email address.

Like every website, our host also processes your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the site secure.

Cookies

We don't use cookies, and we don't store anything else on your device, so there's nothing to accept or decline. If you follow a link to Instagram or TikTok, their own cookie and privacy policies apply there.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We use a few companies to run the site, each acting on our instructions only:

LaunchListRuns the waitlist and stores your email address.
PostHogSite analytics, stored on its servers in the EU.
NetlifyHosts the website.
Google WorkspaceOur email, if you write to us.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to send it to you in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email contact@ripplsurf.com and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Under-13s

The waitlist isn't for anyone under 13. If you think a child has signed up, tell us and we'll delete their details.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date below. If the change is significant and you're on the waitlist, we'll email you first.
